I don’t think it is degrading at all. Unique, yes. Kind of goofy and dumb? Maybe, depending on your point of view. You now know who I am and what I do for a living so that is really the whole point. A certain direct company uses a lizard and cavemen to promote themselves, and I figure if that is effective marketing for them, “Agent Clint, licensed to protect” can become effective marketing for myself and the agency I work for, Shop Once Insurance.
